Built on Trust, Crafted for Generations: The Story of Amish Cabinet Company

Built on Trust, Crafted for Generations: The Story of Amish Cabinet Company

Some businesses start with a plan. Ours started with a friendship.

Back in 2006, we weren’t thinking about building a national company—or even growing beyond a single shop. It began with a simple favor: helping an Amish neighbor sell his furniture and cabinetry by posting a small ad online. Orders quickly started rolling in, and it became clear there was a demand for high-quality, handcrafted cabinetry that couldn’t be met by mass production. What started as a side project soon turned into something much bigger.

Growing a Business, Building Relationships

Growing a Business, Building Relationships

At first, we did a bit of everything—cabinetry, furniture, even mini barns. As demand grew, we realized our focus needed to be on custom cabinetry, built the right way, with no shortcuts. By 2015, the business had grown beyond a side venture. We decided to go all in, leaving previous careers behind to dedicate ourselves fully to our mission.

That meant more trips from Amish shop to Amish shop, building lasting relationships based on trust, respect, and craftsmanship. These values remain at the core of everything we do.

From One Shop to Many

Over the years, our reputation grew, both among customers and within Amish communities. What started with one workshop expanded into a network of Amish woodworking shops across multiple states. Many craftsmen working with us today are the sons of those we partnered with at the beginning, carrying on time-honored techniques and traditions. Just like their fathers, they take pride in building cabinetry that’s not just made to sell—it’s made to last.

In 2017, we decided to focus exclusively on cabinetry, selling off our other divisions to refine our process and better serve our clients. This shift allowed us to dedicate ourselves to producing custom cabinetry that meets the needs of builders, developers, and homeowners who value quality and reliability. Over the next several years, our reputation grew, and we continued to develop strong partnerships within the industry.

By 2023, it was time to take another step forward. After working together on many projects, we officially partnered with Steve O’Claire, a custom home builder, and John Bosco, a residential project manager. Together, we formed a new company and rebranded as The Amish Cabinet Company. Steve and John’s backgrounds bring an added level of expertise to our process, helping us create an even smoother experience for our clients and ensuring every project meets the highest standards.

As we continue to expand into new markets, including Iowa, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, Mississippi, and Florida, we remain dedicated to honest craftsmanship and lasting quality. No matter where we go, our core values never change: building cabinetry the right way, with hands-on skill and a commitment to excellence.
